What is Cap?
Cap is a car spotting app that lets you photograph and collect rare and interesting vehicles you encounter in the wild. Build your collection and compete with other spotters.
How do I spot a car?
Open the app, point your camera at a vehicle, and hold the capture button for about 1 second. Our AI will identify the car and add it to your collection.
Why was my photo rejected?
Photos may be rejected if they're too blurry, too dark, show a screen/screenshot instead of a real car, or if the vehicle can't be clearly identified. Try capturing in good lighting with a steady hand.
How does the LiDAR verification work?
On supported devices (iPhone 12 Pro and newer), Cap uses LiDAR depth sensing to verify that you're photographing a real vehicle in the physical world, not a picture on a screen or a toy car. This ensures the authenticity of all captures in the community.
How do I recover my account?
Cap uses Sign in with Apple or Google. Simply sign in with the same account you used originally and your collection will be restored.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your Profile tab, tap the settings icon, and select "Delete Account". This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
